I’ve become more confident and courageous through meditation
The following is a practitioner’s account of experiences from the winter retreat for the new practitioners. As Told By Park, Changgyo(51,M)

It wasn’t until 11 p.m. on the first day that I could concentrate on meditation. Not long after my arms and legs started to move slightly, I stepped into a more intensive dynamic meditation and kept on doing six or seven different motions, practicing dynamic meditation.
I chanted the Taeeulju Mantra in a deep resonant voice, possible due to the dense and thick qi accumulated in the bottom of my abdomen. Furthermore, I didn’t even feel the cold at all thanks to the strength that I got from the invigorating qi circulating through my whole body.
On the second day, the longer I meditated, the more I became confident, saying to myself, “I can do anything”. Around 9 p.m., while chanting the Taeeulju Mantra, I felt warmth around my eyebrows and my vision became bright. Now, I feel I’ve become more confident. This intensive Taeeulju meditation allowed me to strengthen my abdomen, clear my head and raise my voice.
