Feeling my son’s pain and healing together through prayer and chanting
The following is an account of the blessings of dynamic meditation during a Chiseong on September 7th, 2015. As Told By Soon-geum Lee(M)

On the night of Saturday, the 29th of August, my four-year-old son got a high fever. The next day on Sunday, I left the sick child and went to the Il-san Ma-du dojang where my sister was offering an ancestral requital chiseong . When I returned home on Monday after work and saw my son’s condition my heart broke. Even if he took medicine, he was not feeling any better and it seemed like he had pain in his throat because he couldn’t talk, as if he became deaf, and he was having a hard time breathing.
So I went to the dojang right away and begged during meditation to my ancestors that they please forgive my lazy practice, and asked that my child’s disease to be healed. As I was chanting all the mantras 21 times, I felt a strong aching sensation in the center of my heart. I felt that my chest was aching and ringing until I finished the mantras. When I got home after meditation, my son who had a hard time breathing before I left for the dojang, ran to me saying, “Mommy!” It was not a grand experience, but it was a precious one. I truly offer my gratitude to the God of heaven, earth, the sun, and the moon, and to my ancestors.
