“We are the spirits of smallpox”
The following is an account of the blessings of dynamic meditation during a Chiseong on July 1st, 2015. As Told By Park, Jong-im(48/F)
(Translated by Park, Joon-Seok and Stuart Smallwood)
I practice meditation in the morning and evening and practice dynamic meditation perennially in the evening. I often offer traditional Korean wine, fruits, and dried fish at a chiseong. When I have problems to solve, As a ritual, I write down a lengthy letter and put it on the Taemonim’s altar. After my prayer, I burn the letter, wishing my dreams to come true. I also try my best to convey Sangjenim’s teachings.
I have some experiences of dynamic meditation, and I want to share one of them with you. This occurred three weeks before the M.E.R.S. endemic occurred in Korea.
When dynamic meditation was held under the supervision of His Holiness the Jongdosanim’s instruction, I saw three women in western-style clothes coming to me. I was not intimidated but I could feel a solemn atmosphere created by these middle-aged women. They were of average height and they neatly combed their hair upward. They wore skirts which looked like a trouser.
At first, I thought they were my ancestors. So I remained silent, nodding a greeting. A woman at the front was glancing at me and the others standing behind her were lowering their heads. It seemed like they were trying to say something but none of them said a word. So I asked them.
“Who are you?”
They were just staring at me without a word. So I asked them again who they were and why they stood silently. Just then, the women at the front said
“Behold. We are dangerous people (spirit).”
But I couldn’t believe what she said because they looked somewhat pretty, wearing neat attires. Undaunted, I answered her with a smile,
“How can I be afraid in front of such a pretty women like you?”
The womem at the front glared at me and said in a grave voice.
“We are the spirits of smallpox.”
I could see she was really upset because despite of their effort to convey the message, I did not even recognize who they were.
I was so shocked that I had to stoped the dynamic meditation. A few minutes later, the whole session of dynamic meditation had finished.
After that experience, I began to worry seriously about the future. It made me to work more active in spreading Sanjenim’s dao.
* I’ve been so anxious that I’ve lost 2kg. I sware I will dedicate myself to meditation and convey the teachings of Jeung San Do more sincerely from now on.
